my history with k-pop . ݁₊ ✶. ݁ ˖ˎˊ˗

i’ve already had a phase in my life where i was interested in k-pop. back then i was especially obsessed with EXO, BTS, GOT7, NCT 127, NCT U and ASTRO . i remember spending a lot of time with my best friend watching variety shows and streams, being on vlive and looking for nice pictures on pinterest. it was not really a popular interest back then at the place where i live - so i really ever talked about it with the few of my friends who also enjoyed listening to the music and watching k-content on the internet. it was a lot of fun and sometimes i would even get the chance to buy items like albums, cards and pens when i travelled to bigger cities. i would treasure these things like they were literal relics, haha.

my history with k hip-hop . ݁₊ ✶. ݁ ˖ˎˊ˗

my interest in korean hip-hop, r & b and rap was just as big if not bigger than my interest in k-pop. i fell in love with the music of artists like giriboy, dean and zico. i also listened to bewhy, kid milli, young b, penomeco and many many more … watching show me the money was such a pleasure to me, it felt so cool to see artists that i like come on the show and i would also discover new rappers through watching it. i even found a friend in uni with whom i could talk about korean rap, we are still friends to this day. the music is really good in my opinion, and listening to k hip-hop has influenced my taste in music a lot, i think.

what am i up to right now? ★˖˳˖ִ

i’m just enjoying the time that i’m spending with this phase of mine !! it has been really interesting to return to the sphere of korean music and see what the artists that i’ve followed back in the days are up to right now. i have more money to buy albums and stuff now and to actually attend concerts, so that’s pretty cool. i spend a lot of time watching variety shows and youtube videos of my favorite idols, it’s really fun. i hope the younger version of myself would be proud of my taste in music right now, hehe.
